About Me

I’m Mikayla, a photographer and videographer based in Northern Wisconsin.

I have always had a love for photo and video, going all the way back to having a chunky handheld camera and filming anything and everything. Eventually, I upgraded to an iPad, an iPhone, and then I finally got a Nikon D3100 in middle school. Since then, I have switched to being a Canon user and have upgraded my gear immensely.

I went to the University of Wisconsin-Superior and graduated in 2024 with a B.S. in multimedia journalism. Within that degree I got to dial in my skills and knowledge to tell a story not only with writing, but with video and photo. I focused on filmmaking during my undergrad which has led me to be a 2x award winning filmmaker for my latest documentary, Of Two Worlds.

If I'm not out filming, taking pictures, or on my laptop editing, you can usually find me reading, spending time with my fiance, Logan, or playing with my two pups, Kaiser and Iris.
